Eligibility Guidelines
Hospice care is provided to terminally ill patients who prefer comfort therapy over curative medication and have a shorter life expectancy. Hospice medication is used to prevent complications and alleviate pain and discomfort. Resources are geared toward the physical, psychological, social, and moral requirements of patients and their families in this unique form of care, which solely focuses on high-quality services for the end of life.
Hospice programs aim to make patients’ lives easier. Hospital care is available to Medicare and Medi-Cal beneficiaries. The majority of maintenance companies and health insurers offer hospice services as a service. Make sure hospice care is included in your contract by calling your insurance company or health care agency.
